About Our Business
Hi! I’m Sherman. I started The CleanUP Guys in the mid 1990’s as a small residential carpet cleaning company serving the downtown Chicago and North side of Chicago areas, including the Gold Coast, Lincoln Park, Lakeview and Bucktown. I’ve always had the tenacity and the drive to want to help when a problem needed fixing. “A real go-getter!”

It didn’t take long to branch over into steam carpet cleaning and upholstery cleaning to both residential and commercial establishments.
I actually started with just one machine and with some hard work and diligence, learned what it meant to be a professional cleaning service. Before long, I realized that I would have to train a few crews, and replicate what I’d started. For over 21 years now, we help customers meet the challenges they face when disaster strikes. We deal with “everything cleanup” from water leaks, pipe bursts, flooding, back-up from toilets and sewer, mold remediation, fire damage restoration, hoarding cleanups and basement cleaning. Thus it became feasible to learn how to handle these types of water losses so as to bring value to the consumer, with the end result being a project worth talking about.
Training was in order for the company and its staff to learn how to properly handle these assignments with the right equipment and chemicals where necessary.

We are certified with the Illinois Institute of Cleaning & Restoration Certification & CleanTrust in carpet cleaning, water damage, sewage removal, and mold remediation, along with fire damage and smoke odor.
